How happy am I today? The sun is shining, the sky is clear and blue, and for the first time in a week and a half I WANT to go play outside. Why does this happen on my rest day?
Thankfully, tomorrow morning is set up to be a GREAT group workout. We're meeting out at Prince William Forest Park for a short(er) recovery week brick, followed by a picnic! The PWFP veterans keep stressing the hills on this ride. ("But it's really beautiful!" they always follow up with. Us newbies must not hide our apprehension well enough.) I'll let you know whether they live up to the hype. The weather is supposed to be at least this gorgeous, though, so how can we go wrong? (Famous last words, right there.)
I haven't mentioned this in a while, but my fundraising dude is so close to his goal! Go, little guy, go! Thanks again to all of you donors out there. (Watch for him to bump up again; I have a couple mail donations that I haven't logged yet!)
Short post today, but expect more soon. On the agenda: posting pictures of the Puerto Rico trip, some thoughts on why it's tough to be a Libra in the triathlon world, and the sure-to-be hilarity that ensues when I join 19 of my teammates in a videotaped-swim experiment.
